I finished doing a sweep of the city and the island. There's no sign of the infestation anywhere around here. It should be safe.

...well. Safe from this, at least. Anyway. My job's done, so, I'm going back to the forest soon. Tsukumo and the rest of you...y'know what to do if you need me again.

[Later at night, at SAI's spirit house, Isabel is sitting alone - technically, she shouldn't really be here, this late past closing. She put her skills as a hunter to less-than-good-use and snuck in. She's not even sure she did a good job, she probably tripped an alarm and someone, somewhere knows she broke in. It doesn't really matter a whole lot to her. Right now, she's just sitting up in a tree somewhere, watching the spirits that make their home there.

Every so often, she quietly sniffs and brings her hand up to her eyes, wiping them clear. Then, she goes back to observing the spirits for a few moments before they start clouding up again.]

(OOC: Alternatively, if your character would have no reason to investigate the spirit house at SAI but you still wanna interact with Isabel through this event part, she can be outside Sakana or in the Domino park as necessary)

*Tomoko makes a mental note to make sure she becomes best friends with the tomato guy.
But when Isabel says that last line, her expression drops a little.*

So.... you're not staying...?

[Isabel looks away briefly and sighs.]

...I have a very important job to do, Tomoko. The other hunters need me, to help them protect the forest.

*Tomoko goes quiet and looks down. She doesn't want Isabel to go, but she knows that her job is important. Protecting the forest and the spirits there is important.
With that, she gives Isabel a slow nod.*

... are you going to be away for a long time again...?

....

[Isabel really, really, really considers lying to Tomoko right here. She also considers telling her that she'll be back and then making it so it won't be a lie.

Eventually, she gulps and puts a hand on Tomoko's shoulder, looking back down at her.]

...It's.

It's really hard for me to leave the forest, Tomoko. You can come visit it as often as you like, but... [She quietly gulps.] I don't know if I'll be able to leave it again.

*Had you tried lying, there would of been the possibility that Tomoko could of sensed that you weren't telling the entire truth anyway.

Tomoko stays silent and remains looking at the floor for a while, not looking up at Isabel.*

...so, I guess, the forest is your home now, right?

...

Tomoko, do you, um. Do you remember, a couple years ago, before I left? When you had to evacuate the city?

And when you got back, how...I had to spend a lot of time in the hospital, and even after I got out...I was really weak and angry all the time?

*Tomoko looks up at her quietly and nods.*

...I left here because I couldn't deal with it anymore. I wanted to run away from what was causing me pain. But...I couldn't. My pain just followed me wherever I went.

But, then, I found the forest. [She holds up her wooden hand.] ...and all the spirits there. And the Sacred Tree, and everybody...they helped me. They helped me fix my pain. Like Juudai and...you did, when I first moved in here.

Sakana will always be my home too, because you guys are here, but...right now, I have to protect the forest. So it can help other people the way it helped me.

*Tomoko listens to her words carefully. Afterwards she's quiet for a moment, but then she suddenly lunges forward, throwing her arms around Isabel.*

...make sure to protect the forest really well. I'll make sure to come and visit you there!
