Ummmm.

Isabel's asleep right now! But she wanted me to tell you guys she was okay! She just needs to sleep for a while!

Sorry if we worried anybody! Stuff kinda happened and then some more stuff happened so then we had to do some stuff and then...um...yeah...and now she's asleep.

[Isabel is at the hospital. She's stable and can have visitors but don't be surprised if she just sleeps right through your visit. She's trying to stay awake for the moment, at least.]

He smelled pretty bad down in the field, too.

[She sighs and rubs her hand on her face.] Yeah...guess I'm gonna have some explaining to do...ugh, I'm sure I pinged all the other Signers with that too...

"... A little bit! But it can also wait. I am just glad you're up!

... There are many questions I have, but is probably best you rest now, yes?"

Not like I can do much but lay here right now and I don't feel like passin' out, so.

"Hmm. Um... You merged with own monster to transform like that, yes? Signers are like you and mister Jinn and miss Kamala? Have important things to do?"

She considers.

"Your dragon smells like miss Desdemona, honestly. You were as surprised as all of us were about the Crusher's transformation, so do not think I have anything for that... Mister Akaba also smelled really weird."

I don't really have any insight on Vesik or Akaba that's not already out there. [She lets out a sigh.]

...my dragon is the Black Rose Dragon. That is Desdemona. She and I are...bonded together. [She lets Trena see the Tail mark on her arm.] This mark and her card bind us together. She's the dragon and I'm the Signer.

Signers are...really complicated, but basically, we're people who have these marks and dragons passed down to us from generation. And...yeah, it's usually for the purpose of doing important things. What I did with Enzo was something kinda different...it's called a Cross Synchro, it's when a tuner monster syncs with a human to make them both more powerful.

She nods.

"Would ask to be taught how to Cross Synchro, but feels like it would be very..

OH! That is why I have not been able to find Black Rose Dragon card! Is only for you. Explains much, yes."

She finally grows quiet, considering.

"Akaba smells dangerous. Like he could end worlds. I do not think he WOULD, but... Still is possibility. Has smelled like that when I first met him, when got kicked out of LDS."

[She sighs.]

Yeah.

He's definitely got...

...something up his sleeve.

"Or in scarf.

Next time something like that happens, I'll be there to help you! As apprentice. Tried to make it out onto field, but mister Jinn and Kiko and parents all held me down."

Ehhhh...no y'won't, Trena. Sorry.

"What?! Look, I know is dangerous, but I have heard stories! If all of you got to be stupid and reckless and charge at monsters at this age, I do too."

[Isabel puts a hand on her wooden arm. She's very quiet for a moment or two.]

...Trena, do you know about what happened, when about five years ago, a floating island appeared in the sky above this city?

"I... Have heard some stories, but not too much, no."

She settles in, getting comfortable.

"... what happened?"

...there was this energy source called Momentum. It basically was. Infinite, clean energy. If harnessed correctly, it could've basically revolutionized the world as we know it.

But.

It turns out, Momentum was connected to people's hearts. And when people's hearts became overwhelmed with negative emotions, that would negatively affect Momentum and make it become extremely dangerous. In the future, this got so out of control that it wound up causing natural disasters that destroyed the entire world.

So, a man named Z-ONE traveled back through time...to this timeline. To stop Momentum from destroying our world too. His solution to that. Was to destroy Domino City. Destroy the only Momentum reactor in the world in the hopes that nobody would make more.

[She rubs her cheek briefly.]

I went up to the island. Along with some other people. To stop the city from being destroyed. And I fought Z-ONE. [She looks at her wooden arm.] ...he threw me off of that island. I fell down to the city below.

...that's how I lost my arm and my leg.

She's quiet for a long time, considering. Is that why D-Wheels don't look like they did? ... And...

"I am... very sorry to hear that, miss Isabel. I did not... realize that is what happened."

She takes a deep breath, flipping her hair back.

"You are very brave though. It was to protect everyone living here, protect everyone in city? I, um... It may be horrible thing to say since I was not there and was not one injured... But I think that is worth losing what you did, to help save so many people. Would have done same thing in heartbeat."

That's the thing, though, Trena.

I didn't help. Yusei was the one who defeated Z-ONE. I just went up there, challenged him, lost and had my body almost destroyed by it. I'm not saying I regret going up there - I thought I could do something to help, that's why I did, but that's not what happened.

That was a really traumatic experience for me. I obsessed over it for years and I'm still not over it and I probably won't ever be and that's just one of the things I've been through out of a lot of things that affect me in similar ways.

I know that you're brave and strong and there's a lot more to you than meets the eye. And I know that you look up to me and probably have for a really long time. But I don't want you wind up with a bunch of scars on you before you know how to deal with them - like I did.

And Vesik is the kind of guy who could definitely leave you scarred if he got the chance.

She... nods. She's processing, considering, staying still.

"... Yes, I am beginning to understand. I won't tag along to help with Vesik then. ... You are going to go after him, yes? As soon as you are good enough in your eyes, not hospital's eyes?"

[She takes in a breath and nods, glad that Trena seems to understand at least.]

Yeah. I am.

"If you need cover story then or... Anything you would be comfortable with me doing, let me know, yes?"
