Needed to find a new battery for this thing without any money. That was fun...

Need somebody who can run tests on something of a supernatural nature. Don't have any money to pay, but, I can make it up to you somehow.

*A slightly more serious expression appears on Juudai's face as he nods at her.*

Yes. Desdemona-san and I spent weeks chasing him around, as we knew he was trying to open a gateway to somewhere. He always managed to escape us though.

And the last time he did that, he decided to go to the island instead and open the gateway there instead, taking some students and a teacher with him. Guess now they're back we know that it was a gateway to Naturia Forest that he was trying to open.

Yeah. Then we found them and dealt with that knight. He was trying to spread the infestation through the world by using the Sacred Tree's roots.

[She frowns.]

A guy like that exists to do nothing but spread the infestation. I don't think he'd come through Earth and just leave without trying to spread it here too.

So, you're here to check to see if he spread any of this infestation here?

Yeah. It'd be a danger to this place and it could try to use this world to sneak into the forest again. I can't let that happen. I need to know all the places you guys ran into him so I can check them for any trace of it.

*Juudai walks over to a filing cabinet in the room, opens it, and takes out a folder, holding it out to Isabel.*

Each place we ran into him is documented in this file.

[Isabel takes the file and begins looking through it.]

I'm going to give some of the samples I picked up to Erland and Noriko to see if they can figure out if he spread anything here. I'll check these places too.

[She pauses.]

...once I'm sure there's no trace here, I'll go back to the forest.

*Juudai gives her a smile, but it's a very emotional smile.*

...I guess that means we won't see you again for a while.

[She sighs. Desdemona frowns slightly, a confused expression on her face.]

...I came back because the captain and I decided that there was a chance that something else could use the dimensional instability here to attack the forest again.

Being a hunter isn't something you can take a vacation from. I'm just the one that's best accustomed to dealing with this since I'm the most familiar with Earth. Once I've secured things here, I probably won't be back unless another incident demands it.

*Juudai frowns a little too, but he nods to show he understands.*

I won't pretend that I'm not upset that we probably won't be seeing you again for a long time, we all have really missed you here, but...

*He places a reassuring hand on her shoulder.*

If this is the resolve you found, we shouldn't stand in your way of it.
