Event Post
[Since the return of the students who fell victim to Cairngorgon's machinations a couple days ago, there's been a person poking around a couple places on the island and in Domino City. They're wearing a traveling cloak, including a hood up over their head that keeps them pretty much totally obscured. Besides loitering around and looking out of place, they're not really doing anything. They seem to be keeping to themselves at least.
At Duel Academy, they're mostly hanging around the Osiris Red Dorm, inspecting the damage done the previous week. In Domino City, they're exploring with a wider net, looking around the park and various places throughout the city.
...they also seem to be hanging around Sakana a lot, but never heading inside. The farthest they get is venturing into the courtyard and pacing around.]

[She considers leaving. Just. Going before things get too complicated. But...isn't this the whole reason she came here? She said it was because she wanted to make sure there was nobody else like Cairngorgon here, but she knew that wasn't the whole truth.
She puts her hands up to her hood and pulls it down, revealing her face.]

Isabel...! You're back...!
no subject
I am.
[She seems kind of speechless. It's been so long since she's seen her, and she looks so much older...]
...it's good to see you.
no subject
*Ruka seems a little speechless too. Then, after a moment of silence, she runs forward and pulls Isabel into a hug.*
...I missed you. We all have.
no subject
I've been.
Busy.
no subject
But it means we have so much catching up to do!
no subject
[She lets out a breath.]
I...I'd like that.
no subject
I was just heading to my apartment, so if you want, we can catch up there.
no subject
[...a small smile crosses Isabel's face.]
Okay. Let's go.

It doesn't take long for them to reach her apartment door. Ruka unlocks it and allows Isabel to enter, before entering herself, closing the door behind her.
After walking down a short corridor, you enter straight into a living area. The apartment is small, and obviously made for one person, but it's very nicely set out. It also seems to have retained a lot of it's look from when Sakana used to be an old mansion. From the way the room is set out, you can tell that this probably used to be an old shrine room.
Basically the apartment looks like this: http://www.choco-orange.co.uk/tenorlog/img005.jpg *
I've had this apartment since last October. I loved living with Juudai and Asuka-san, but that had always been a temporary arrangement while I finished school. I promised myself that when I was able to fully support myself, that I'd get my own place.

First time I've seen a TV in a long time...
[She looks around.]
This is really impressive, Ruka.
no subject
Ah, thank you. I tried my best to make it as cosy and comfortable as possible. And make the most of the limited space.
*She then motions towards the sofa.*
Feel free to make yourself comfortable.
no subject
[She crosses her arms. At this point, it might become apparent to Ruka - the arm she lost on the Ark Cradle that she had replaced with a mechanical prosthetic - it's made of wood now.]
So...you graduated, huh? From that academy, right?
no subject
Ah, yes. I graduated from there, then I spent a year doing an apprenticeship with the Spirit Foundation and doing additional theory work on Duel Spirits through the Duel College. Juudai guaranteed me a full-time job as a duel spirit researcher after I finished that, which is what I'm doing now at SAI.
no subject
What's SAI?
no subject
It's what the Spirit Foundation was renamed to. At the end of last year we found out that the Arcadia Movement had hit some really bad times and were on the verge of closing, so Juudai decided to merge the Spirit Foundation with it. With the move, he renamed it to SAI, which stands for 'Spirit Arcadia Institute'.
So we don't just deal with things concerning duel spirits now, but we also help those in the area that have unusual powers or abilities, whether it's psychic abilities or other abilities.

[She takes in a breath and releases it.]
I see.
I'm glad he stepped in. There's a lot of people who depended on the Arcadia Movement.
[She looks up at Ruka and gives her a little smile.]
So you're a spirit researcher? That really fits you.
no subject
Yes. I focus my own research on the bonds between spirits and humans and what that can accomplish, but I do a lot of research on their world too.
I also do research that Juudai or others at the foundation request me to help with if there is ever an issue concerning spirits or their world that needs looking into.
no subject
Have you ever done any research on the forest?
no subject
I haven't had the chance to yet, but I've been interested in learning more about it.
no subject
You can learn about it right now, if you want. It's where I've been living.
no subject
*Her eyes seem to light up.*
I'd love to know everything about it!
no subject
Well, if you get me a glass of water so I don't talk myself hoarse, I'll gladly tell you everything I know.
no subject
One glass of water later, she's sat down on the sofa with a pen and a notepad, ready to take notes and everything. She's so eager to hear about the forest and to take notes of interest.*
no subject
I guess I should start from the beginning...a long time ago, there was an incredibly powerful knight named Gian and an incredibly fearsome dragon who people called "Terra". The two of them faced each other in battle countless times, and eventually, one of their fights brought them to the site of a great Sacred Tree...
[She continues on from there and probably for quite some time.]
